Extending Closure of the Libraries due to COVID-19
The Marshes of Glynn Libraries are extending closure to the public through April 15 due to COVID-19 concerns.
Library services are available digitally. Check out the libraries’ website and social media pages for storytimes, yoga, and book recommendations available for check out in the libraries’ eBook and eAudiobook collection. Go to www.moglibraries.org for more information, as well as follow the libraries on Facebook, Instagram, and Youtube.
If you don’t have a library card, don’t worry. You can call either library location to sign up for a digital access library card over the phone. Telephone service at both facilities is available Monday – Friday from 9:30 AM to 5 PM, and on Saturday from 9:30 AM to 1 PM. The Brunswick Library can be reached at 912-279-3740, and the St. Simons Island Library at 912-279-3750.
For those in need, the public Wi-Fi is accessible in the parking lots and porches of both facilities for patrons to use on their personal devices. We ask you to remember social distancing guidelines when utilizing this service.
Book drops at both locations will be open, but library staff are asking patrons to please hold material at home until the libraries reopen. Due dates will be extended, and any fines accrued during this time frame will be waived.
