Kid-Friendly Setup

Click on any of the apps listed below to view instructions for setting up a kid-friendly experience on your personal device.

1. Open the hoopla app and touch the settings button (small gear) in the upper right.

2. Select the Kids Mode setting.

3. Optionally, create a 4-digit PIN for unlocking Kids Mode after it is turned on. (Skip this step if you do not want to create a PIN.)
4. Select Turn On.
IMG_6301 5. Kids Mode will limit searches and browsing to juvenile materials (ages 12 and under).
Libby

1. Open the Libby app on your device and touch the filter button (three horizontal lines).

2. Scroll down to the Audience filter section and select the juvenile option.

3. Select the Show Titles button.

4. To keep these filter settings, touch the juvenile button again.

5. Select the Pin Filter option.
IMG_6303 6. This filter will remain in place for all searches or browsing until it is turned off.
kanopy
Turn on Kanopy Kids

1. Open up the kanopy app on your device and touch the More icon at the bottom (3 horizontal lines).

2. Select the Go to Kanopy Kids option from the menu.

3. Touch the Start Watching button.
IMG_6312 4. The Kanopy Kids logo will appear in the upper left of the screen on your device.

PIN Setup (Optional)

1. Visit the kanopy.com website and log in with the email address and password for your account.

2. Select the account icon in the upper right of the screen.

3. Select the My Account option from the menu.

4. Select the Parental Controls option.
IMG_6319 5. Create a 4-digit PIN and tap the Turn On button.
