The Literary Guild of St. Simons Island is holding their Spring Book Sale in support of the St. Simons Island Public Library in the Casino Building Atrium. Books of all types – along with CDs, DVDs, and audiobooks – will be available.
The annual exhibition of student artwork from the College of Coastal Georgia will be on display at the Brunswick-Glynn County Library during the month of May. The work displayed will be drawn from student projects submitted during the 2017-2018 academic year, and will include work created in a variety of mediums. Come and meet the student artists and view their work at the opening meet and greet during First Friday from 5:30pm until 7:30pm.
Babies’ brains develop through exposure to language, new sights and sounds, and socialization. The Baby Storytime environment will help parents and caregivers share meaningful developmental time with their babies through books, songs, and rhymes. The group meets on the first and third Friday of each month at the Saint Simons Island Public Library and every Thursday morning at the Brunswick-Glynn County Library. Ages: Up to 24 months
Bring along your cup of coffee and wake up your brain every Friday morning with a game of Scrabble. Can’t make it every week? That is OK; join us when you are able. Scrabble Club is also available on Monday afternoons at 1pm.
Since Saturday is Cinco de Mayo, during First Friday we will honor the holiday and celebrate the coming of spring by making tissue paper flowers. Our featured artists for May, the art students of Coastal College of Georgia, will also be on hand to meet and greet from 5:30 until 7:30. Come and join the fun.
