Suzy Dmetruk will be the featured artist at Brunswick-Glynn County Library beginning March 2 through March 29. She will display a variety of works, large and small, primarily in oils and mixed media creating loose, abstract paintings. Babies’ brains develop through exposure to language, new sights and sounds, and socialization. The Baby Storytime environment will help parents and caregivers share meaningful developmental time with their babies through books, songs, and rhymes. The group meets on the first and third Friday of each month at the Saint Simons Island Public Library and every Thursday morning at the Brunswick-Glynn County Library. Ages: Up to 24 months
Bring along your cup of coffee and wake up your brain every Friday morning with a game of Scrabble. Can’t make it every week? That is OK; join us when you are able. Scrabble Club is also available on Monday afternoons at 1pm.
Join us as Dr. Henery returns to the Brunswick-Glynn County Library, entertaining and enlightening us with a wonderful selection of music. The March program is titled “Heard It Before?” The great melodies of classical music will always inspire us, but our “pop” friends can have their version, too.
A variety of activities will take place at the Brunswick-Glynn County Library during First Friday. Children may read to the dogs between 5:30 and 6:30. Therapy Dogs International will provide the dogs and the library will provide the books, you provide the enthusiasm. Our featured artist for March, Suzy Dmetruk, will be on hand to meet and greet from 5 until 7:30. March is Youth Art Month! Help us celebrate by viewing the Little Big Read art work of Glynn County students. Come and join the fun.
